Faigel and Lenny Shapiro Teen Philanthropy Program

The mandate of the Jewish Community Foundation of Calgary (JCFC) is to perpetuate the future of the Jewish community in Calgary.

Recognizing that the next generation IS the future, the Foundation has introduced The Faigel and Lenny Shapiro Teen Philanthropy Program - an opportunity for young people to gain experience with endowment funding, and to begin to "plant for the future."

The JCFC invites Bar and Bat Mitzvah candidates to open a fund at the Jewish Community Foundation of Calgary as part of the Faigel and Lenny Shapiro Teen Philanthropy program. Being part of this program will help give young people the opportunity to gain understanding of the needs in his/her community and to feel the satisfaction of building for the future.
